The BATTLE begins at 4 minutes 30 seconds. (The boring video intro that follows the boring text intro begins at 2 minutes.)

What is truly sad about this video isn't that a group of people disrespected the death of an individual, but that either side thought it was important enough that anyone would actually care about your lame ass personal retardation, or the silly games you play to fill the void that is your sad excuse for a life. Gameover bobby badass. Gameover.

this was crazy funny.although...i know how long people play to get thier characters to high levels and to be totally slaughtered like this would really suck especially if you werent the instigator.this guy had a beef with one man and he took out everybody...i know he thinks he's cool, but that shit will come back around.

This video never ceases to amuse me. For anyone to even think for a moment that the internet had morality is hilarious, if I could have been in that raid I would have.

you people make me sick, being so damn insensitive to life. I mean come on, a person died and his real life friends had a funeral on the game for his close friends from the guild. I would have respect enough not to be a complete asshole and ambush this event

    A) I don't understand the attraction of WarCraft and such, but this was kinda funny. B) I agree with kelliandtrenton. C) If you're going to insult someone, have the decency to spell it correctly.

omgganon, I understand that it was a gesture of respect, but remember when people went to funerals in real life?

i understand that the funeral was a display of affection and respect by his online friends but...that music playin' while i watched couldn't keep me from laughing out loud in amazement, amusement, and disbelief at what was going on. I don't play WoW, but I am an online gamer on gaming consoles, so maybe I'm a little desensitized by our online shenanigans...it was jacked up...but I could suppress my laughter...sorry. Jenessa is right regarding morality on the web...it's almost non existent so something like this really shouldn't surprise anyone

For a lot of souls in this world, WoW is an escape from this shitty and horrible world full of insensitive pricks like these...everyday something else and in that game, someone can do something amazing, fun and be a real friend, That man that died in this "REAL" world had a small little hope that his "escape" that was the game gave him true friends, and that, you jack ass is far more important than any little "ACHIEVEMENT" you will EVER do in YOUR REAL WORLD! Those people came to show respect and love for someone and I guess you're right, asshole, game over....well, when YOUR game is over may the GREAT LORD above not be so kind to you and I hope yours is a hard one, you are a real asshole and so where these people that just take kindness and imagination of love for granted....to hell with your world you can have it....In Heaven may I not see people such as yourself....KELLIANDTRENTON....or those that done this raid...to steal what little life this person's soul had left.

That was completely DISREPECTFUL to raid a funeral in the case of a fellow guild member and a friend Even if it was ONLINE....A funeral is a funeral and should be repected no matter what....

I totally agree with nErDyTriCkS I must carry the guilt of laughing at the video on my back as well.......and it was pretty disrespectful. But i must point out that hard core gamers such as metzgerfaust need to realise that there will always be people like kelliandtrenton that do not understand what you see in the game.......personally i don't see it either......BUT i would not go as far to say that they're wasting theirs and everyones time on their ''lame ass personal retardation''. A friend died and they gave a funeral in a way that seemed to fit him best even though many find it unethical. I love gaming on my ps2 but i have my limit and sometimes i prefer to have a drink with my friends in the pub........I guess some prefer to live their lives in a virtual world.......what can you do?
    live and let live man......

What are you calling "lame ass personal retardation"? Seeing the fact that THIS REAL world is full of people that just screw everyone in the back to get forward in their shitty little lives...for what? To die with the most toys? Fuck that I choose to be someone for a few hours and make friends outside the game too but when you go as far as saying lame ass stuff and that we have no lives because we choose a video game to get the hell away from RAPE, BOMBING, TORTURE, RELIGION,(killing in the name of a peace and loved filled GOD?), SELFISHNESS, PEDOPHILES, BACKSTABBERS, FAKE IDIOTS.....yes I'm a little pissed....because I AM accomplished in THIS shitty REAL world too but when it comes to showing love in any manner I say go for it because it sure wouldn't hurt to have some....but I guess I'm a no-lifer if I choose to get away and be inside something with heroic endings and not just a number ....so to hell with it....GAMER=NO LIFE? bullshit....I say more power to the people that held this funeral...shit I could only wish someone in this shitty world would do something like that for my soul....

Lol, without a doubt this is the one and only good WoW video. It also shows just how stupid and lame the playerbase is. If you're gonna hold a memorial service for someone in-game and you don't want any fighting, I dunno, maybe do it some place where you won't get ganked. When people did a memorial service in DAoC the massive battle at the end was in honour of the person who players fought with and against, most fitting fairwell IMO.

Dunno the person who died but R.I.P.

H-Dublax 9........well, show me some people that love and I'll say you're right...so you, you pitiful excuse for a person can go to hell. Take MY head out of my ass and get a life? You make me sick. I just so happen to have a good life with a wife, twins and I am an accomplished artist....so my comments were directed towards this world and I think it's sad you have to play a game like WoW to find people that have a heart...what's your accomplishments, little puny Dublax? In this real world? You probably just got and account here to fuck with me and my comments or to leave comments to piss people off so YOU GET A LIFE.........idiot....this is ridiculous...people like you are a waste of space on this planet. At least I have empathy and can understand when someone is calling out for the world to change and show love rather than hate..you on the other hand just want to hurt others with words...like everyone else...so go to hell.

metzgerfaust, I play WoW and enjoy it although I spend more time with my family than I do online because, as a father of two and husband to a wife I love more than life itself, my personal life has more meaning than pixels at this point. It wasn't always so, however.

This funeral went exactly as it should have, in my personal opinion. What better way to have a funeral in a PVP zone than to have your friends and those that care about you have a major blow-out battle in the middle of it? Have you ever heard the song "Stand Me Up by the Juke Box When I'm Gone"? If this guy who died had real love for the game, he would have wanted to go down fighting, no doubt. The only bummer about this was the fact that his friends and those who cared about him weren't prepared and lost the fight. It IS a PVP Zone! I'm sure the guy who died knew that in a PVP Zone, you don't let your guard down for a moment. I think the guy who died is probably chuckling up in Cyber-Heaven that the mourners didn't leave a perimeter guard.

To be honest, if you all wanted to remember the death of someone who died in RL, DO IT in RL, not in a game. I personally wouldn't have interrupted the so called "funeral" out of respect, but you have to admit that doing it online, let alone on a pvp server, it's like looking for trouble.
Let's not even talk about the initial comments written at the beginning of the video, really stupid.

Honestly.. I think Serenity Now made the funeral.. so much better.. I'm sure the deceased enjoyed countless hours of pk.. why not incite a pk rivalry in honour of his death. He fought hard in life.. let his guildmates continue the battle.. rest in peace.

Maybe the reason for the popularity of this video is that above all WOW videos it best illustrates the sickness of online videogame addiction. An actual human death inspires people that knew the individual to I don't know, take stock of their own lives? Come to terms with their own addictions? Re-order their priorities or maybe spend more time with the people they are ignoring in their lives?

No. A virtual funeral! It's like cocaine addicts honoring a death of one their fellow addicts by going on a group cocaine binge. But yeah, the real assholes are the pvp guys?

    Well honored.

I'm not a gamer. I personally don't have the time or inclination. I have a strange respect for people who can take the time to fully understand all of the facets of online gaming. I couldn't even really tell what the hell was going on in this video, but I understand the premise. A loss of life is no laughing matter...but seeing as how the internet is home to all kinds of morbid curiousities...this was bound to happen. And the morbid side of me says...

    That was fucking hilarious

Also, this world is full of terrible acts of violence and cruelty. But, those I know into online gaming don't get so absorbed because they need to forget about "RAPE!" or "BOMBINGS!" as someone stated earlier. It's 'cause they've never seen a vagina and probably never will unless it's online.
