IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTE: There are errors in describing the Willie Ross Foundation. The Foundation is not a school, but a non-profit organization located in Van Nuys, serving the needs of individuals who were dual diagnosed with a developmental disability and deafness and/or non-verbal. It is unfortunate and unintentional that the word "mute" was used. Non-verbal is an appropriate term to describe a hearing person who is unable to use their voice. The proper term for an individual with a hearing loss is "deaf," not hearing impaired.
