Description: The true story of the boy who became famous when he was cast for the main part in the Brazilian film Pixote.

Fernando Ramos Da Silva gained worldwide fame and recognition at the age of 11 when he became the notable star of Hector Babenco's 1980 film Pixote. A youth from the San Paolo favela Diadema, Da Silva grew to believe his life would be changed forever. However, the scarcity of roles and his social and class handicaps such as persisting poverty and illiteracy prevented him from developing an acting career.
