What a crock of shit. Yeah, the spread of communism had nothing to do with our presence in Vietnam. The CIA and the oil companies were conspiring to take over the vast oil fields of Vietnam. LOL! Just another wahed up, bitter war protester left over from the 60's.

Description: In 1970, at the height of the Vietnam War, UC Berkeley professor Peter Dale Scott completed a startling book called The War Conspiracy. Despite the backing of a well-known publisher, however, the Central Intelligence Agency was able to block the book from national distribution.

What was it about the work that so frightened the CIA?

Through an up-close interview with Professor Scott, GNN's short film The War Conspiracy uncovers the book's central thesis, namely covert (CIA) agents of the oil companies manipulated U.S. foreign policy in order to escalate the Vietnam War. In his review of the book, Noam Chomsky remarked on Scott's "meticulous and fascinating analysis of intelligence conspiracies and the links between the intelligence community and corporate power."
