The inhabitants of a 19th-century Pennsylvania village have always lived with a tacit agreement not to enter the woods that surround their homes. In return, the creatures peopling the woods have stayed in their own realm. Suddenly, the creatures seem to have broken the understanding with a warning. Should they heed it or face their would-be aggressors?
