I'm crying now....what should it matter to the company if she found a different loving family for Iggy. Give that puppy back to the family with the girls. I've had to give up kittens to the humane society and I know how guilty Ellen is feeling.

Jesus. Get it together, Ellen. People watch your show to tune out all the stupid, bullshit drama in their own lives, not to have to listen to yours. Sounds like an unfortunate situation and all, but come on! Make a few jokes, dance your silly dances and do your friggin job!

does anybody know what the out come of this was? I'm wondering if perhaps by now after this "rescue" organisation has been blasted on national television they may have reconsidered their policy. On one hand I understand that they would want to keep track of the animals to make sure that they are in good, safe homes. On the other hand I can't imagine thatTHEY would imagine that Ellen would ever put an animal into a dangerous or unhealthy environment.

It seems to me that they would consider re-adopting out the puppy to Ellen's friend/employee. Heck- it won't cost them all the shots, neutering, training...Ellen already paid for that!

I feel mostly sad for the dog. It is so unfortunate that we treat animals like disposable objects in the first place. Now here is a situation where an animal was in a loving home but the "rescue" organisation feels it is safer in a cage where it will eventually be put down.

    Shame on them.

No wonder we prefer dogs and cats to othe humans with all the negative comments from animal haters .

Animals deserve our trust and love as they give theirs unconditionaly to us.

I don't like or trust people who don't like Animals.

fnrebel Posted on Oct 19 '07 at 4:36 PM "theres solders dying in iraq ...poor pepole starving all over the world ...but shes worried about a dog?... ellen might have to wake up one day and face the real world one day "

The reality is that the soldiers chose to be in Iraq. Humans choose war over discussion, compromise, understanding, empathy.... People are going hungry because other people in power choose to allow that to happen by controlling economics, feeding on their own insatiable hunger for power, wealth, domination...

Animals are ALWAYS at the mercy of barbaric humans who not only do not care about each other, but have no compassion for any other creature on the earth. There are so few who care to speak up for the animals & when they do they are mocked by people like fnrebel, j-mann, .vanhalendlrband, richcrook (there's a name that says it all)...

Ellen is facing the real world- she is facing it with heart & compassion. She has the guts to be honest & real. Unlike people who are so quick to insult & make threats under cloak of anonymity. Of course that only further proves my point.

hear hear "pewee99" that is the whole truth!! humans make the choice to be in war and to opress entire nations to keep them in poverty and hunger just to fatten their own pockets!!! animals unfortunatly do not have a choice!!

Animals can give humans unconditional love and afection where as very few humans can show this kind of love for another human being.

the rescue association should be ashamed of what they did an I hope that they come to their senses in returning the iggy to the poor children!!

what is with all this bureaucracy anyway? ? is izzy (or any other animal) better off in a cage that if they were in a loving home??

"the more i get to know humans, the more I like animals"

I thought Ellen would be more upset about what is happening to people in Africa with starvation and AIDs etc. I guess that little dog that weighs less than five pounds is more inportant. Sad very sad. Grow up Ellen. I hope you cry for a long time about this you non human caring PETA lover.

Description: Chances are, if you've ever seen The Ellen DeGeneres Show, you've seen a spry Ellen in freshly shined Chuck Taylors doing embarassing dances with overweight tourists in the audience, while giggling and laughing at "It's Just Like a Minimall" parodies. But today, Ellen got serious. So serious, the poor girl starts to cry. We post this video in the hopes of guilting the pet agency into giving poor Iggy back to its new family!! That seems pretty heartless...

Something tells us this will all have a happy ending in a few days - this is terrible PR for that pet company! Also, in animal-related news, check back tomorrow morning, when I'll have a full review, including tons of hilarious photos, from this weekend's cat show in NYC! (less)
