Love it!! very much like the 60's japanese show. From reading the other comments a lot of viewers never grew up with it. Their loss.

Hard to tell what they were trying to accomplish-turns the Garmin image into an irrelevant retro-fest.

This was one of my favorites from the Super Bowl. I replayed it about 10 times. It's obvious they are appealing to a certain gender and age group...people who are willing to spend money on gadgetry. Brilliant.

Made me feel like I had to be a Japanese cartoon buff to get into the GPS groove.
Left me out in the cold scratching me head.
Guess I just didn't get it.

LOL! No, no, no. You totally have to understand who this is directed towards. This commercial was MADE for me. I couldn't have better illustrated how I feel about handling a paper map. I think they did their research. I think they knew exactly who they were talking to. Hysterical.

Are the commercials made for 3 year olds now? Oooohhhh... evil Map-a-saurus! Scary! Oh, well, if it'll sell the product I guess.

Actually... considering Ultraman was made back in the 60s... this ad is more for 40-60 year olds... kinda like the people you would expect to buy a GPS device.
OW logic burns sometimes, doesn't it?
