  it's a fake! the 'UFO' proximity to those palm trees should allow the trees to sway due to the wind caused by a flying object's speed. Sorry Haiti, think of another scheme for tourism or get some advice from Roswell,NM .

  Can't believe im saying this, but this looks to real to be genuine. C'mon, person-in-Hati-who-took-this-video, don't you know anything about UFO vids? They are supposed to be grainy, short, and wide open to interpretation. This is just unacceptable

  the gasp at the beginning (which sounds like it was downloaded off some cheap sound effects site) is what gives it away, I mean, who sees the UFO's, turns on their camera, THEN gasps? and besides, this is the only footage, how lucky could you be to be right under the UFO's, with a camera, and get the footage JUST as their leaving? this vid was obviously edited, to an astounding affect mind you, but still fake.

  The only thing that makes me think that its not real, is the total lack of emotion of the person with the video camera. Myself, I would be saying, "Oh my God, oh my God, what the fuck are they?" Yeah, I would be video taping and having a freak-out attack. Yet, the videographer was calm as a cucumber, or an unthinking fraud.

  Until otherwise i think it's real.Also actalanb,have you even made a specs on UFOs?Just because airplanes and jets does make the trees sway cause of the wind doesn't mean that a UFO would do do the same thing.Common sense was made before book sense after all or at least that what my teacher told me.

  the first gasp is called "gasp 1" and it is an aiff file included with the program "Soundtrack" which is bundled with Final Cut Studio. The last moan is called "Groan Female" and is also an aiff file with the same program. I didn't bother to try finding the outdoor effects because there are too many. But I have heard them all before. To whomever did this, great job with the animation, but the audio is always what sells the product. I suggest going out and recording your own sound effects and placing them in so that other editors don't recognize the work. The camera tracking was flawless, and the focal manipulation was right on. I would like to know what animation package you used. But stay away from Soundtrack for your sound effects. They are overused on places like YouTube and MySpace. Make your own.

  those are the same knuckleheads who landed in my back yard, me and Kenny gave all those little pinko green fellas an anal probe with a weed eater, really upset them, they got back in their little space crafts and flew away, but they did leave this little device behind, don't have a clue what it is though, oh well

  Have a few comments:
  
  One Real UFO's never come in and fly that Low to ground level (at least in all the UFO footage Ive seen anyway) .
  
  
  
  Two even at a coasting speed, which is relatively slow in this video as you can plainly see- the leaves on the palm trees never moved as the crafts passed very nearby overhead.
  
  
  
  Three, the crafts moved in a relatively orderly straight flight pattern, with the other craft flanking the first ship, then closing in a military flight pattern (guarding it's six /or cat n mouse chase pattern) as they ascended. ( Real UFO's fly in a sporadic flight patterns, most commonly though in a loose V-shaped flight pattern-somewhat like geese) - and appear to hover (rather than fly like a traditional jet) then zip away very,very fast in a angled manner)
  
  
  
  This is most likely fake, but if Real..is the result of a military project..but I tend to believe it's fake..because of the trees not moving...and because Real military crafts that resemble UFO's would not fly that low...let alone in a populated area outside of designated top secret testing facility grounds. ...So I think someone with special effects tinkering/film backround pieced this little novelty together..
  
  
  
  ..Having said that however...It is interesting to note that there also appears to 8-12 other flying craft just as the film ends and you see the other craft appear in the sky as well....which makes the viewer question whether the tape is genuine..as UFO's do usually fly in many numbers. But the calmness of the camera operator and chance of getting such a low close promity shot like this of a Real UFO IN flight is like winning the powerball lottery . I still tend to lean towards a highly sophisticated fake, and sound effects, by someone who knows film effects. (but obviously does not know physics and sound waves.....or Real UFO 's !!!

  Hey!!!. cool video. I mean. good imagination in all. me and my father somewhat believe in U.F.O's. I saw a Medeor a couple night ago burn into the atmosphere. not a really big one. but good enough to wish on it =]. coolio. Umm. yeah. this could have been edited with the gasp.. but who would take time to do that? honestly. come on. think about it. but it could be edited motor airplanes. =] nifty. but size em up with the palm trees. about the same size. and the palm tree's move when they fly by them if you look hard enough. its a fake. but a very well thought out one. I like the end where they fly up into the other white dots. Oh. and if you listen closely. you can hear them fly over. pretty cool.

  There are too many things that make a person go "HMMMM". The tree tops are an exact match, the lack of enthusium while video taping (I would have used every expletive known to man, not only that I probably would have run for shelter to clean my panties) and lastly why didn't anyone else in that area see it?

  move after the objects flew over....if anyone knew anything about physics they would realize that air doesn't move that fast. It took until the very end of the clip for the palm trees to move. Right before all the Heaven's Gate survivors reuinited in the western sky. Silly wabbits..Trix are for kids.

  I have seen ufos just like the ones in the background. I have seen them more than once, so I know they exist. What or who they are, well, let me just tell you, I have also dreamnt them, and they have taught me things. One of their greatest teachings to me is the saying, when I was so depressed in my dream, and asked the question, "Why this life?" A bright light shone on me and the voice said, "You are futurists whose purpose is progression." So, I really don't care if this is faked or not, but did anyone notice how when the ufo flies directly overhead, how the palm covers it perfectly for a sec, as if it were in real time/place in accordance to everything else, including the palm, in which it moves directly over? (After thought, after I signed up, and in... ) On another note, who cares how calm the guy is who is taking the tape, now as I recall, I did capture a ufo over New Mexico. I have about twenty minutes of footage. It was very far away, but nothing we have technologically can explain it. By my calculations, it must have been as big as a large building, that was just staying still in the middlle of the air. I was allowed to stop on my tour with my parents, get out and continue taping. I only spoke a few times compared with how long I taped.

  1. Object out of focus, as with the rest of the frame.
  
  2. Sound of object passing over, as is consistant with it's mass. (palm trees acatalanb? What drug are you on?)
  
  3. Object remains at angle of surface level to (earth) whilst thrust is in use, as in anti gravity.
  
  4. Objects joined by another cluster of objects all heading in the exact same direction.
  
  5. The camerapersons breath being taken away, as you can clearly hear. ( unless of course you are 'woooffboyz' who would have stuffed the shot and made it nothing due to the camara being waved around caputuring fuck all ((like 99% of abecedarian videographers!)) Apart from a sound track with alot of swearing.)

  I also had to create my account to comment. In reference to JBmanofthepeople, yes there is an audible gasp heard but if you watch closely at the start of the film for a split second, you can see that this person was filming between the trees before the audible gasp. As for wooofboyz 's comment, haven't you ever been in a situation that is so contradictory to what your mind tells you that you become frozen for a few minutes and unable to emotionally react? Not all people 'freak out' when faced with the unexplained or unexpected. I beieve the video to be real, and unless scientists and others prove it isn't, I'll continue to believe it. Why not? Are we so innocent as to believe that we are the only intellectuals in this entire universe?

  If this is not real, then I would like to officially hire this/these person/people who made this supposed fake. I am offering a good salary. I am probably one, if not the best writer in Hollywood. I write in all directions, including cursive backward (mirror imaged) handwriting. Come to me, you special effects god, and together, along with a few other wizards, of course, we will make movie history, in Hollywood's new platinum age!

  Oh.. and lastly to the wankers posting, and talking about the lights all pointing in the same direction as if to be mirror images of each other... as in the 'light fraction fake video copy''. Well explain for me why in the opening movements... the craft on the left has lights pointing in another direction to the craft on the right? That blows your theory.
  
  Look @ 10sec's into tape. I personally have seen similar lights to these from a distance on the Gold Coast in Australia, and they too moved in pairs! I¿m ex Navy and every time I saw a fighter jet shooting by guess what¿ never was it alone. There where two. Always the same model. All ways in pairs. If we do it. Doesn¿t make sense they would also?   PS. If any are going to poo poo this footage please come up with a credible reason for why it's a fake ffs. Or watch it at least a number of times before the rest of us spot you as the dim witted dicks that you are. Why should the believers be made to think we're the dummies just because we have an OPEN mind and are aware of how BIG the universe is, and are not as self conceded to think we are the only one inhabiting it! As for the GOD squad¿ where in the bible does it tell us man is the only thinking creature in the universe.   ...j....ok., the first thing that comes to my mind is it's a fake! They look like craft taken out of a Star Wars production complete with the banking high and to the left. However, if it is a fake apparently it is a good one so say some with greater experience than I. Interestingly enough (and perhaps due to it being considered a fake) nothing has appeared in main-stream news reports. As an admitted UFO buff, I can say I have never seen anything quite like these which by conventional standards for such videos, are extremely detailed and close. But, having read the stories linked here, it is the general feeling amongst those who have examined it, feel it is a good fake......or perhaps a very good CG fake. I concur with them.
  
  
  
  When one tries to effectively study UFO's it is difficult enough dealing with genuine reports, let alone having people putting together fake ones then sitting back and having a good chuckle while one tries to determine their authenticity. While these videos provide interest and entertainment they don't do anything to advance the research and study of the phenomena. If anything they hamper it.
  
  
  
  Let's hear from the author. Where is he/she/it in all this? Part of determining any authentic UFO report is gathering field data which includes the author of any media source - picture or video!
