I had the pleasure of speaking with both Jack and Tom several times over the last several years. Both are true gentlemen, and immensely talented individuals. I was thrilled when GSN returned "Now You See It" to the schedule. If you want to see how a true pro works, look no further than "NYSI". This was a tough show to steer, with extremely fragile set pieces, split-second timing, multiple cameras taking a shot at any given second, and of course, five contestants to build up to star status. It is truly amazing to me that he made it look so easy.
Most people don't realize that Jack was a pretty big deal back in the 50s, with "Dotto" on CBS daytime, and NBC in primetime, both shows pulling in huge numbers. I think, one of the best accolades you could bestow upon Jack, was the fact that if you watch any of his shows, he never took the position that he was the "Star!", but rather his contestants were the stars of the shows. He always took the second seat to his game players, but was never second-best.
For those of us who grew up watching daytime TV, Jack's passing is a loss. He made an indelible mark in television, and fortunately, we all get to continue to watch his work, and I get to continue to wake up with bloodshot eyes, from staying up too late to watch Jack every night.

I work as a sports announcer in New York. I am the Ring Announcer for the New York Daily News Golden Gloves at Madison Square Garden.
Mr. Narz was one of my earliest influences along with Bud Collyer and Bill Cullen. I am greatly saddened to hear of Mr. Narz's passing. I sent word through the Los Angeles Times my condolences to his family.
I also must mention that (October 16) I contacted Bud Collyer's daughter Cynthia to inform her of what happened. She was very saddened since her father wished Mr. Narz best of luck in the new version of "Beat The Clock."
I have lost a piece of my childhood and the game show industry has lost a giant of a man.
A man whose kindness towards people will always be appreciated.
You have no idea how much that man will be missed.

This is very touching...He truly is an idol of any genre and of mine and he will live on in spirit for his spirit from watching him for many years is a great one indeed--happy, friendly, fun and one that certainly puts a smile on my face whenever hosting or any tv work, he will always be one of the best. I hope up there that same enthusiasm is making everyone smile just as much!
