Yes the days of corporal punishment should be brought back. When I was in elementary school it was the last years of corporal punishment, and my mom used to always give them permission saying "If he screws up in class, then feel free to beat that ass" Thank god she cared enough about me to recognize that children need discipline

If you think this is typical of todays generation, you need to get your head out of your ass. This is not a typical classroom.

Dude no that is a typical classroom and I kno because I am still in school. Even I think they should bring back beating ass in school. That is one thing parents are afraid to do at home and maybe it'll straighten students up.

The problem I have with beating kids in school is not only that it leaves wide open a huge potential for abuse because, at least at the schools i went to, the administration staff were on a huge power trip. I also believe that it is neither the right nor the responsibility of the school to enforce their values on children, that is the job of the parents. Even if the parents do not do their job, and make their kids understand right from wrong, it is no place of the schools to come in and take the place of a parent. I am not at all comfortable as a parent with the schools deciding the right and wrong way to discipline my child and the values to instill in them. Take this example, my son recently had gotten into a fight with another student. The way this began is that my son was attacked by another student because the other student wrongfully believed that he had stolen one of his possessions. My student did as any other rational human would in such a situation (being attacked for apparently no reason) and he fought back and beat the other kid up. The school did not think my son was in the right to defend himself. I was VERY uncomfortable with the school telling MY child that it is not okay do defend oneself in times of danger. That is the problem I have with corporal punishment in schools.

I am in school now and even the least respectful kids don't act like this. Even if corporal punishment were reinstated I don't think it would work. Anyways do you really want a society based on fear. Where creativity is stifled because people are scared to say what they feel for fear of punishment. Now you may think that corporal punishment in school won't do that, but what next corporal punishment in public. The line between corporal punishment and a police state is thin, and anyways this is one extraordinary case.

i'm a student in school and i was raised to respect teachers. i have been in classes where kids didint behave but the teacher would write them up or suspend them.Teachers even have a right to yell at students but they never just continue teaching. I feel sorry for this man and i feel sorry for the non-existant future these students will have.

If as a parent you do your job then this will not be your child. My kids are know 19, 20, 21, and 24. When my 20 year old was 9 I had to go to school because of an administrator beating him for no reason. Come to find out he was sleeping with the parent of a young man who was harassing my son on a daily basis and I had to let his ass know that not only was his job on the line but so was his pockets and his ass. The teachers and pricipal had my back and he got fired. So what do you do in these situations choose corporal punishment so some one can abuse the power or as a parent raise your children to respect all older people and if you feel wronged by something they have done then come and tell me the parent and let me handle it. My children still say yes mam and yes sir and they still won't disrespect some one older. I did nit do it with fear but I made sure they knew there were consequences for everything they did even if it meant a spanking or taking stuff away or not get thier allowances. If you want your kids to have long lives teach them to respect all life. This man deserved respect and one of the other students or all of the other students should have had his back.

what crime????lol anyways....being beaten in school.....totally unacceptable. Although it would be okay sometimes. If a child is acting up suspension or have a talk with the parent no beatings should be neccessary to get that kid to straighten up. if that continues then you know what kick him/her out who cares... it is one less kid you have to watch for.

The future is grim. These assholes will be in charge one day. Lord help us all! Anyone who doesn't see why kids need discipline need only look at this video. That time out shit just don't work. If they had they ass beat when they were much younger they would have much more respect now.

What is crazy about this video is every kid that they show on the video besides the 2 that were being physical witht the teacher and the the idiot with tthe camera all the kids are giving peace signs. Peace signs while their elderly teacher is physically harrased. Even in my school I think someone would have spoken up or probably punched one of the kids for being such asses.
