I am excited to get back into the old school warriors. I think the pre gun warriors are much better to watch then then ones with guns.

It just seems like when guns come into play it takes a lot of the warriors skill out of the equation. With just swords, spears, ect. whether you lived or died seems to rely a lot more on your skill as a warrior. Where when guns come into play you can just be plain unlucky and get killed because a sniper decided to shoot you first.

Man those hooks were nasty. Guys I really hope you upload something on the Maori. Not just cause it seems everytime you only upload one video, that warrior loses but because Id really like to get a sneak peak into the Maori's weapons.

I'm torn. I'm a chinese guy born and bred in new zealand. Those maroi are a scary bunch - even now days. Weapons are usually jade clubs, spears, and long 'gene simmons-type' tongues. It's definitely going to be a technique/disipline thing.

I'll have to go with the Maori Warrior on this one. I'm Asian but the Maori are down right ruthless when it comes to killing and will go straight for the kill rather than have some artsy moves. While the Shaolin Monk (Who, by the way, are freaking BOMB) dances around and stuff, the Maori will use his brute size and strength to cave in the Shaolin's face. Maori Warrior. P.S. Green Berets were robbed last night.

this show is a farce ill bet they dont even have a real maori on the show its a joke like the samurai vs viking was a joke the so called samurai was from california or something the show focuses on the weapon and not the warrior....maori weapons are nothing unless they are put in the right hands you can give a man a gun doesnt mean hes gonna know what to do with it....and thats exactly what this show is not showing they should call it deadliest weapon and trust me if there was a true maori on this show he would stuff around with the pig he'd just smack the crap out of the monk just to put it to rest haha mauri toa!!!

Ever since ninja vs. spartan I havent watched the show the same way again. Or unless one of em has a gun....they automatically win (Just like in pirae vs. knight)...lol...jk....I know neither of these guys have guns

There is no doubt about it; the Mäori are real terrors to fight, but against the Shaolin... Sorry guys! The Training they undertake and the speed and power they develop over the years is unparalleled. In fact, they would do good against almost any warrior UNARMED.

Shaolin are beautiful in grace, but Maori are beautiful in brutality! I'm going with the Maori. If technology, disease & outpopulation can barely contain them, i don't think a Shaolin monk has a chance, but neither would a ninja!

This episode is going to be outstanding, because you don't see a lot of the Maori featured mainstream like the legendary Shaolin Monks. It will be amazing to see the Maori weapons in action.

Sting ray thingies? Shark teeth? The Maori takes everything by its side and uses it as a killing tool. They are gonna put up a fight against the Monks. I dunno yet whose going to win. I want the Maori but i don't care who wins as long as theres no trash talk.

This looks like the biggest toss up yet. The Shaolin have better weapons and are definately more disciplined, but the Maori are some of the most brutal and psychotic warriors in all of history. They do have many different things to take into account.

Interesting and all, but how can you pierce a Shaolin Monk with teeth if you can't even pierce his skin with steel? We're talking about the same Shaolin monks who drag large rocks around with their testicles to plow a field with.

Okay this will be awesome because Maori will be bleeding before the Monk touches him because he will cut himself to discriminate the Monk. At the same time the Monk will do front flip over the Maori.

No one here knows how much pain an actual shaolin can take. The world's strongest man couldn't hurt an actual shaolin.
No disrespect to the Maori, im actually very interested in seeing them. I heard they use the slightest flick with a normal bamboo stick and can knockout anyone.

For those of you wondering about Maori weaponry,
Basically, the Maori's main weapon was the Taiaha, which is a spear/long club hybrid. it was typically gripped near the spearhead and used in thrusts or wide swinging motions with the club end.
The only other weapons they really used was a patu (small, flat club carved from greenstone) or mere, which is a ceremonial version of a patu.
Maybe they'll get to use muskets and tupara (double barrelled shotguns) seeing as that's what they fought with since the 1800s...lol.
(After seeing some of the show's bizzare weapon selections, I wouldn't be suprised)

The way the simulator works I think the Maori will win. They give a lot of weight to any weapon that does massive damage and can kill instantly. I don't see where stealth, tactics, or training ever actually got factored into the 1000 simulations. So much of the Shaolin's strengths are negated. I love the Shaolin but I think the Maori will win this due to the way the show works.

I sincerely believe that the Shaolin Monk will win. These guys pounded on trees with their fists every day for hours. Plus they are much more agile and smooth than the Maori, who won't even be able to hit the Shaolin with their big, cumbersome moves. You can probably see pictures on Google of knuckle dents in trees near the Shaolin Monk temples.

maori fighting is not about strong powerful hits its about get in make the hit and get straight out there is no power to it so against that stupid gel thing it wont make a difference....but before you learn to use a taiaha or hold any weapon you have to learn how to move your legs....maori saying heavy feet wet skin....wet by your own blood cause your too slow...people think us maori just go around with a club and bash things about but thats not true its about making the quick hits..my point is the monk is a good trained warrior like the maori but at the end of the day this show only test the weapons it doe not in any case test the warrior test like hitting a damn pig is stupid anyone can hit a pig hanging from chain there is no skill in that.....another huge point is they do not even use a maori for the show thats how disguting this show is they just get anyone off the street to partake they should go to new zealand and get a real maroi with real maroi weapons and not some hawaiin guy with what he mite think is maori........these guys in the show really need to do some studying themselves before doing any kind of test its disrepectful in every way possible.........maori are the deadliiest warrior we defeated the colonial armys in the 1800's with a damn stick havnt heard any other race achieve that

jst because the monks have alot more flowery movement dosn't mean they gonna win and as for the big combersome moves maybe you should actually have a look at what we do first before you go assuming we just swing a big stick obviously you don't know a thing about mau rakau our warriors trained body mind and spirit thats why we are one of the only native reaces to beat the english even though they were a superior enemy we still won. i have read maori stories teling maori toa (warrior) fighting a english captain with his cutlass, the officer was beaten and killed in a matter of seconds. the eenglish thought that the bayonet was the most leathal of all hand to hand combat weapons that was until they met our warriors with the taiaha.

This show tests only weapons, and since the Shaolin monk's weapons were more or less as deadly, the Shaolin monks wouldn't be tested right, they focused more on the mind and body, and their martial arts.
