my shoes are all man made not cow made.....she wore leather in barb wire and she also has alot of shoes made from leather so she needs to double check her closet....

Description: Pamela Anderson hosts PETA's investigation of India's leather trade. While many Hindus still hold cows as sacred, most Indians don't protest the fates of cows, buffaloes and bullocks killed for meat and leather.Because the slaughter of cows is legal in only a few Indian states, cattle destined for slaughter must travel hundreds of miles by hoof or by truck to their final destination. Both modes of travel prove to be horrifying and torturous ordeals. Once inside the slaughterhouse, the cows throats are slit, and some are dismembered or skinned while still alive.

Many international retailers routinely use skins from cows slaughtered in India. Thanks to PETA's exposi, Gap Inc., J. Crew, Eddie Bauer, L.L. Bean, Nike, Reebok and many other retailers have sworn off Indian leather. For more information, please visit CowsAreCool.com. (less)
