    terrorist do not fall under the prisoner of war guidelines set by the Geneva convention. it only applies to uniformed solders of a reckognized government. Read it.

    In civil society thee level of legal doubt needed for an acquital in a criminal trial is set so as to avoid-as far as practicable,the innocent suffering injustices at the cost at times,of the guilty escaping justice;the risk to society is considered to be tolerable.

    However,in the case of suspected terrorists where the dangers to society are altogether of a different magnitude. 'Tolerable risk'is now intolerable and it is the safety of the mass of the innocents-at-large that should have priority although at the cost of compromised innocents remaining in unfair detention.

    Local criminals and deadly global subversives are not in the same league.
