version 2 for me. you can tell after seeing 1 how they got to two, which is just sublime in both timing and overall feel. the sunset just makes it, plus the throw-up against the lamp post!! perfectomundo

jiminy cripes! when I first watched the final(?) video (take 2), I went ahead and found out everything I could about Bill Shannon. Now seeing this, I'm even more enamored. Other than the lack of synchronization of the performance with the music (maybe just a time delay on the video?), take 1 is by far, more impressive. I figure either Shannon was exhausted after the first take, or take 2 was toned down to correlate with the meaning of the song. Or perhaps both. I'm glad I didn't have to choose; I would finalize the video as it's seen here, with the side-by-side takes. Thanks for the music RJ, and thanks for consistently introducing us to fresh concepts. Screw DefJux if they didn't like the direction you're taking.

That's a tough call. I like the lighting much better in the first one and he does have some great moves that one that aren't in the second. But there are a couple of interactions with bystanders in the second that are priceless (the couple getting off the bus, the lady on the cell phone), and like oakleaman mentions, the throw-up on the lamp post.
