    First of all, I strongly feel, as an island resident of 8 years, that you mustbe of the islands to make a film on/about the islands. The mainlander just doesn't get it, even a mainland surfer, unless they live and truely experience the flow of life that is experienced on the islands.

    I admire your ambition & enthusiasm but a surfer;s life is based on being REAL to the core but this concept seems to be more about your own needs and not that of a pure surfer or even someone of the surf scene, hawaiian style.

Description: The fourth part of a surf movie combined with the making of "the marketing" of it all in Orange and L.A. county. Kat (Marguerite Moreau) has just graduated from journalism school and has got to get away from her anal-retentive dentist dad, so she takes a dream assignment in...Hawaii!

Her job? Track down reclusive surf legend "The Monk." Little does she know that paradise isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's so much more! It is also the underlined story of Part 1. By Filmmaker and surfer Robert Mickelson who got the idea while shooting a big-surf commercial in Hawaii.

Now that the film is made and in the can! The director is working his heiney off to get it seen by talking to strangers, lining up Surfrider Foundation and surf superstars to represent the film and stand behind the film....and he's pulling some gnarly street stunts for publicity!
