Yeah dangerous situations when someone doesn't move where you want them to move or get out of their car when you tell them to. That'll help get those types of things done sooner. This is ridiculous

Better than shooting people who are a genuine threat, a lot worse than talking sense to people who are irrational or agitated but no threat.

Train your officers to tell the difference and get it right.

How much training do cops in the US get, to allow them to know when it's appropriate to use a taser gun, and when it isn't? Couple of days? Clearly not enough, judging from the rash of news storis (and video) of cops using taser guns totally rashly and amateurishly.

If it was a baton to the face, or a rubber bullet (both of which are similarly brutal), it would be something you'd expect to see being used by a semi-fascist police state such as Burma or N Korea. Because it's a taser gun, and it's the US, people have been conned into thinking it might be OK.

Non-lethal?
A perfectly healthy guy was tased by RCMP officers and died the other day. There have been several taser related deaths. Especially for those with heart problems.
