Painter Amedeo Modigliani is remembered dancing around a statue of Balzac, joyful and full of life.
A painter couldn't have a more prolific and intimidating rival than Pablo Picasso himself. But this was certainly the case for Amedeo Modigliani (Andy Garcia), and that is one aspect in this film that tells of the artistic rivalry and the painter's life in Paris during the First World War.
