    Clearly Metal Gear Solid 4 deserves to win the 2008 Videogame of the Year! This masterpiece is the Defining videogame of a Generation! MGS4 will be talked about decades from now, it's just that great!

    It's a shame Gears is going to win. They put two PS3 games up for GOTY to split the PS3 fanboy votes. The 360 fanboys will all flock for Gears although MGS4 is 5 times the game Gears is.

    I hate that Gears of War 2 may win too?



    Too often do CRAPPY games win. I mean seriously, King Kong won, 3 AWARDS!! how?



    Anyway, MGS4 deserves this, my personal runner up for game of the year is GTA4



    BUT THIS IS THE LAST METAL GEAR, they'll be other Gears of War, it' just wouldnt be right any other way



    It would mean a lot to me to see this game win. I've been wanting to see that since the first VGA



    And the movie (VERY GOOD FAN MOVIE) is comin out soon

    NO way should this turd beat Gears of War 2. I know all the sony fan girls will hold on to this one for dear life as it is the only Pee-s-3 game that comes close to XBOX 360 games. But come on, the whole game is in brown and void of any color. I know all the Pee-s fan girls hate on 360 because it has destroyed sony in numbers sold and they just cant get over the fact that Microsoft is the new sheriff in town. GEARS...WINNER

    resistance is a good game, but mostly just for multiplayer.



    metal gear is amazing, it should definately win, the production value for this game plays and sounds like a movie blockbuster.

    naw rotten, personally, I'm happy there are so many game systems, they all have their differences, but I'd buy a Wii before I'd ever buy an X-BOX, I just dont like it really.



    I'm a PS guy, and I'm gettin a Wii and that's it



    And Gears of War 2 may be nice but no way it's better than MGS4. The storyline behind MGS4 alone surpasses the physical distinction between the two games



    This game is much bigger than Gears of War, it can win sometime down the line, but not this year. Not over the last installment of the MGS series

    allot of people said this game was the best even for the PS3 but i dont play mgs its very hard i heard the shooting was good the graphics was good and the guy you had to play got very old then what he was in the other mgs games the xcroch fans wish they had this game because resestence 2 and mgs4 they belong to the best system my PS3 XBOX SUCKS

    did fans get to nominate cause if we did I missed out on that, but then again the VGAs are never well advertised

    Man MGS all the way, ive been following the series since i was 6 years old good times... :p and i have to say it is WIN, the games storyline is unmatched in quality compared to other games like Resistance, Gears of War, and Call of Duty which their plots can be written up in a mere 5-10 minutes, THIS games story has been constantly developing dynamically over the past 21 years, that's 2-1 kids :p anyway; Even after game being released about now 6 months ago, is still VERY healthy, the Metal Gear Online community still continues to grow with the SECOND expansion already out and 1,000,000+ registered players leaving others in the dust. The games textures or more commonly dubbed by the public ''Graphics'' not The best but still insanely impressive keeping the SAME awesome quality both IN and OUT of cut scenes nothing is pre-rendered in those moments which can also surprise people where they would be tossed into game play unexpectedly at times. Controls are rather sluggish and not very welcoming to new audiences but overall, 'Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns Of the Patriots' should be measured by its amazing Quality not by how by 'HOW MUCH IT SOLD', IF not awarded by 'Game of the Year' then ITS HAS to be Fallout 3, that game is made of pure genius; I rest my case.

    awh man, it's in their hands, not ours....oh well. I hope they vote this game as Game of the Year. I cant stand that damn Gears of War being compared to the long term ingenius creation that is Metal Gear Solid



    I just really cant see any other game winning. I like GTA too but they'll make it better next year or the year after. I think MGS outdid all of these games



    And if anyone doesnt think so, I think they should play the game all the wy through or watch it on youtube. People post most videogames online, the whole thing through like Max Payne 1 & 2, and others

    I have a PS3 and a 360, and Gears certainly isn't the best the xbox has to offer.

    I really do lol when those gears junkies talk about how it wins hands down when it's absolutely nothing compared to a game of this magnitude.



    This is without a doubt one of the defining classics of this gaming generation. Gears won't be remembered as anything but just another cool shooter from one year. I don't care if any other game wins this, because Metal Gear is already game of the decade. Without any doubt in my mind.

    Metal Gear Solid 4 was the best video game ever made with outstanding graffics, storyline, gameplay it definently deserves game of the year. I personaly think that spike should add a best game ever award and give it to MGS4. Hideo Kojima over did himself making this game , the ending actually made me cry. I CRIED!!! seriously. The twist in the ending was so amazing and spuntanious and if youve never played a metal gear solid game i highly recomend playing the entire series. You will not be dissapointed , you will love it.

    If Metal Gear Solid 4 doesn't win the game of the year then america doesn't know video games anymore.

    i agree, i got emotional as well. The most touching gameplay ever to me. And yeah, every word both of you said is right. before the voters vote I think they should also watch the DVD included in the Limited Edition package, that was awesome stuff inside there



    I'm gonna miss playing with Snake though, ofcourse I now need to get a PSP to play Metal Gear Acid soon, that'll be fun, and the other games not apart of the main 4



    I wonder, do you guys know or think that the awards show will air again the same night cause I gotta watch WWE Armageddon the same night, and it comes on at 8pm one hour before to 11pm with extra b4 that





    Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy is coming out in the Winter for MGS fans who dont know. best fan movie I've seen, and I'm just speaking from the two trailers I saw, check it out

    they say we cant vote, some experts vote.....kinda sucks that fans cant vote though, but these experts should know what game to vote 4, hope they actually pld MGS4, and know the history .     Metal gear is just perfect, i do not know anyone who would say that the game lack of something. Hideo Kojima surpasses himself this time. And before i finish, PS3 is far better console than 360. Time will prove it.

    I can not tell a lie when I say that mgs4 IS the game to have It just warms my heart everytime I look at my MGS4 Limited Edition, I wish though that Resistance 2 was nomited for GOTY it really another outstanding game and even IGN thinks it's better than gears gears is only there because if it wasn't the 360 fanboys would get mad I really hope this game wins the story and online simply amasing I love the final cqc battle it's just amaszing.
