According to a controversial study by researchers at the John Hopkins Schools of Medicine and Public Health, women are more likely to be involved in car crashes than men - despite the fact that men are three times more likely to be killed when they do crash.

So- women may have the fender benders, but they don't end up dead.

The reason mens innsurance is higher then womens is because tipically the man of the house drives, in younger relationships again tipically the boy is driving. So on average men put on 3x the miles women put on which means they're on the road more often and which means they have a higher chance to get into an accident. I dont agree with it at all but thats how it is.

The reason(higher insurance rates) I read was more men drive cars, and that would lead to more crashes. The higher male death rate in crashes would raise rates too. I am sure a few fender benders(women) would be nothing compared to the one funeral cost(male).
