Brilliant! I love it when comedy has to be thought over, planned, over-the-top & Bleeped!

Jimmy must think his show is funny. I think it sucks, and he is just a fat ass. Matt should have punched him in his fat face.

the shot of stiller checking his watch shows that this is a rather funny Andy Kaufman-style setup. Matt Damon is a great actor and terribly funny guy. Jimmy Kimmel is quicker on his feet than Letterman (sorry, Dave- you're due for retirement, dude) and much more interesting and funny than Jay Leno (how did HE ever get the job???). Conan's shtick is usually bland and repetitive and Craig Ferguson's stuff is too small-time (c'mon, get a real studio, and a bigger audience!). Jimmy's family bits (uncle, cousins) are played out; enough already, it was funny the first hundred times. But he's the best late night talk show host not on cable these days. His "Unnecessarily Censored" vids are the funniest thing I've ever seen on the old networks' late shows. But that's just my opinion.

Ripping on Matt Damon isn't something that is new. South Park creators (Stone and Parker) have already run it into the ground. Jimmy Kimmel is just trying to milk someone else's material.

if it wasnt staged, then kimmel is a real jerk for getting laughs at other peoples expense and valuable time, imagine going to work for 2 weeks straight and being told, nope, go home we dont need you today and no, we wont give you advance notice. Now if the scene was staged for some shock or controvery to help ratings, then Kimmel is a dumb Jerk again because i wont watch his show on both counts. He had a bad strategy either way, he lost me as a viewer and i hope others react the same, wether hes treating matt damon like a sheep or his audience as sheep, screw him, hes the one going to the slaughter.

no way that was real!! the almost 2 minute intro alone say's it all. no matter what you folks think-had that been real, i think matt damon woulda socked him. come on folks, he's from bas-ton. he wouldn't do it on air of course but i think he mighta slugged him off stage... but come to think of it- he probably wouldn't, he's too smart, he woulda gotten in trouble- after all, assaulting someone is a crime- last time i checked!

Reading comments after these videos just gets sadder and sadder, I swear. Does anyone understand what "satire" is anymore? OK, how about "a prank"? Still too high brow? This is as simple as I can make it--it's a damn JOKE people. See, Jimmy goes to Matt and says "hey Matt, want to play a funny joke on all our viewers tonight?" and Matt says, "Sure Jimmy, that would be fun!" Probably a joke born out of Damon getting bumped for real once or twice in the past, but a joke nonetheless people! Jesus, are people really this damn stupid? Because it sure seems like it as I read the comments following every video. To sum up, for the truly slow: Damon is not really mad at Kimmel, you morons. The whole "string of expletives" thing was planned and prepped, and Matt is in on the joke the entire way. He's NOT about to punch Jimmy, he didn't really get bumped again, it's all just (cue Jon Lovitz) "ACTING!" I swear, I weep for the future of this planet.

Matt Damon was really red in the face so he was either really pissed off or is a really good actor. Really.

I think it was pretty messed up to embarrass the guy on national t.v. But in this day and age we've come to expect people to do stupid things. Reactions of this sort should not come as a shock since you already have shows like "u got punked." Luckly it was only words that came out of Matt's mouth and not a physical confrontation. I think Matt Damon simply reacted as any normal person would.

Obviously Staged and Planned. If it were real and MD had been bumped that many times, he would have insisted on going on at the top of the show and not at the end. Good Acting, though by my Mattie.

Very cute. I liked it. Jimmiles, I still think Letterman is tops - I love him and his writers, and I way much love Conan O'Brien over Kimmel, though the writing on Kimmel's show the last couple times I saw it seemed to be getting sharper. I used to love the Masturbating Bear. :)

    Oops, writer's strike - I think it's still on.

Matt should have kicked Kimmel in the nutsack. That was a way lame thing to do. To quote Terry Bradshaw: "Not funneh, Frank. Not funneh."

My God, are you people really that stupid? Of course this is a planned performance! You don't really think Jimmy left Matt in the wings night after night, do you? He offered apologies to Matt Daemon to up his own status, saying, oops, I couldn't get to you, Matt. Then he invited him on once to make all this seem real, and Matt played along. Jimmy is pretty brilliant at times. By the way, I'm f**king Matt Daemon too.
