I agree. This is a barely literate cretin who nneeds some remedial work in social skills but the bottom line is that MTV encourages this kind of behavior, so nothing's going to change. The biggest joke is that the word artist is ever used in the same sentence with people like this.

Um, my earlier comment was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek reference to Mr. West's outrageously foolish remark at a fund-raiser for victims of Hurricane Katrina last year. It was not meant to be racist, but instead to point out how some individuals will blame people (white, black, Christian, Jew, Muslim, etc.) or what they believe is the fault of others (racism, nepotism, etc.) for their own failures. I hope Farrakan-vict gets some help; he apparently needs it.

Oh get a life people, it was obviously staged! Honestly some people just love to make moehills out of mountains just to start gossip, or stir up some trouble! IMO by taking this video so seriously, and making rude and petty comments (that could be percieved as racist) towards Kanye's actions and each other makes you no better than he is!

As a Hip-Hop fan I think that Kanye West is dumb. To those who think that all hip-hop fans are just as dumb, get off of your high horse. Kanye West is just one person and he does not represent the whole hip-hop community. To say that we are all dumb is an insult not just to us but to yourself as well. I say that because you only look at what who is in the spotlight at that moment and not the whole picture. It's like me saying all rock mucisians worship satan or all country mucisians live in trailer parks and hang confederate flags. You don't have to hear me out, but I'm just saying.

Kanye West always did have to be the center of attention. This does not suprise me one bit. When he said what he did about hurricane Katrina i was angry at him but more angry at people like clear channel who wouldnt play the dixie chics on any of their stations after they said what they did but they still played kanye west after his rude comments. See the thing with Kanye West is that he cant just make an ass of himself he always has to have other people around and embarrass them too. so Kanye if you are reading this, i'd like to say i am not impressed.

Thank you to neondeon25! You're so correct in that Kanya is an individual and his character and attitude do not represent all hiphop artists and hiphop fans. He's obviously lacking in social skills and plagued with arrougance, narcissism, and egocentrism. He will be his own downfall and remembered as an obcure bleep in artistic history rather then for any contribution he has made or perhaps will make to music or to the entertainment industry. It blows me away that some individuals actually believe he is right, that the awards along with the entire incident was/ is fixed or "staged", and worst of all, that this whole thing is somehow racially based or biassed. I'm so tired of hearing that crap from losers who happen to belong to a minority. Blame yourself for what you have or have not achieved in life instead of riding on excuses for not being all that you can be!

If APEXX138 cant wait until hip hop goes to obscurity He'll be waiting until Hell Freezes over. Good luck with that one. Hip Hop colors every aspect of all cultures.

I'm not a hip-Hop fan at all and looking at this from outside the box, and race... This is just an assholish move! I don't think the decision was supposed to be based on expense, but rather content and placement. Kanye needs to get a grip and realize money doesn't buy everything. It seems this will be one of the greatest examples, and mistakes in his career.

Okay, what Kayne said here was dumb. However, it seems that everyone still has their panties in a bunch over what he had said at the Red Cross benefit for the Katrina victims....AND he had EVERY right in the world to say what he said that night! I AM from NOLA & let me tell you, IT IS STILL F***ED and will be forever. The entire area has been ethnically/socially cleansed thanks to Dubya & Co. and if you REALLY delve into the facts for yourself rather than listening to the bs we are constantly fed, you may just learn something. By the way, I happen to be white, and I only wish others had had the balls to stand up like he did by saying something..to say SOMETHING, anything, no matter what it was, so that people would take some notice! And you know what? Most people couldn't find the courage whatsoever. They just watched, and made retarted, uneducated remarks about how people should have evacuated, etc! It was absolutely disgraceful, and those people should be ashamed of themselves for being so insensitive and ignorant. Although his statements here were probably unwarranted, the words he said with regard to the Katrina fiasco were on point.

Oh, and by the way... The people who present Kayne West as some kind of intellectual because he attended college for a while before dropping out: "AAH HAHAHAHAHAHA!" I got an A.A. degree, I guess that makes me Albert friggen Einstein. Anyone who thinks anyone who attends some college is a genius is obviously so stupid that a G.E.D. is an unattainable goal for them. I know people with multiple doctorate degrees who can't tie their own shoes.

Chuck Norris' balls are so big, that if Kayne West was in the same room with him their gravitational pull would attract Kayne West's tongue. Kayne West is such a girl, that if his tongue were to come into contact with Chuck Norris' balls, he would instinctively begin licking them like a $2 ho.

Lost all respect for the stupid fucker! Actually used to like him but really annoyed me that this obnoxious idiot ruined the award that was being given to two of my favourite dj's, guys that dont get recognised for there talents very often. Instead Mr. look at me ive got shit loads of money to spend on a crap video storms on and starts going on about himself as usual!! The thing is he threw a $1m at his video and it was still shit. Justice probably spent about $50,000 and if you watch it its miles better than Kanye's! Also its the MTV Europe awards what would be the point in having them if Americans won everything? We may as well just watch yours!! Shows why people like Kanye can have all the money in the world but will never be able to have the class to match!

I don't know how many people will read this, couse I only read the first 1 and half pages of remarks. I thought that I would put my two cents in on this, couse this is rediculous. Kanye did this not as a joke, for those that want or try to make themselves and othere think that. You could tell on everyones face on stage that it was not planed. He did this before at the grammys. He has talent, but his attitude it why he will not reach the next level as a artist. His remarks at the relief aid show, might be true to a point, but was uncalled for. They fact is, noone wanted to believe the damage was going to be so huge in Katrina. If they all did, then more, if not most of those there would have left, and aid would have been done better. As fo Kanye, go and find talk to the Dixie Chicks and ask for advice on not voicing your opinions to loadly, or to the wrong people. I respect the Dixie chicks on what they did, on their remarks,, but not a believer in their opinions. I respect them, couse they didn't go on stage and winne, and complaine couse THEY didn't win like a sore looser. GROW UP KANYE!!!!!! give me a break......

Amazing....This is the first time I have seen 60 posts for something not that serious, and people are so amazing to me they look for the smallest things to pick with certain elements out of there norm. Personally I do not like Kayne because he has changed and that is coming from someone who has followed his career from the beginning. But let me say this before you get angry and start attacking people because of a action do yourselves a favor and learn thru education, reading, writing and studying about who these artists are and where they are coming from. And 99.99% of the post are people who don't read or know nothing about mainstream media and stunts that celebrities are paid to demonstrate strictly for rating. READ FOLKS STOP BEING IGNORANT AND THEN HATE WHO YOU LIKE IT'S YOUR RIGHT.

What a wanker! Perhaps Europeans just don't dig Hip Hip or Kanye like they do in America. A million or not. He should have donated it to the Katrina victims instead. I recently saw him open up for U2 in Sydney, Australia. Yes, U2. Weird Combination. He pretty much sucked. Everybody was standing around motionless as he moved around the stage. Have to give him credit but the day of hip-hop is over. Good DJ by the way.
