Synch rights are the purchased permission to lay a music bed over your moving video or program. Being that this was not produced to directly gain profit, action isn't too likely other than having the producer desist from using it. The images (altered or otherwise) would likely have been copyright-protected too.

This is one of those things where people love it or hate it with little inbetween... yes, like a few of these people have said, maybe it walks the line of "poor taste", maybe it's "offensive", maybe you're even making "Allah cry"... but hey, I laughed... and that's all that matters, making ME laugh that is, oh yeah and offending right-wing nut-jobs that brought us there in the first place.
