A spunky geologist (Toni Collette) and a Japanese businessman (Gotaro Tsunashima) embark on a comedy of errors that swerves perilously close to tragedy in the vast desert of West Australia. A winner of all the major Australian film awards, Japanese Story also swept the 2003 AFI awards. (less)
