    I agree with the comments above and I think that this video is disgusting. I also dislike the use of the word "game" in relation to this practice. It is clearly not a game and is an extreme form of abuse, assault and bullying. These attacks will lead to criminal prosecutions and hopefully the police will be able to use the videos being recorded by these immature idiots to send them to prisioned. Imprisioned by their own stupidity, sounds good. Well unfortuneately this video is a reflection not so much on the kids perpetrating the acts but on society as a whole. We have to ask why are the kids like this, how were they brought up, where is the respect? Why did no one intervene when these attacks were taking place - it is probably fear and intimidation - a like a dictatorship it will be ignored until the problem becomes too big to handle. These attacks will lead to death and there was one case of a man sleeping in a bus-stop being set alight by "happy slappers" with lighter fuel.

    There is an unfortunate psychological side effect of all this: the perpetrators will probably become dangerous attackers and killers in the future, the victims may become time-ombs and eventually kill. Look at what has happened at some schools in the US. A society is being created that fosters anarchy, chaos, unruly behaviour and death and we stand by and let it happen.

    Why does it happen? It happens because there are no longer any consequences for our actions. We have higher crime levels as criminals are not afraid of the prison sentence which is usually short, kids are not afraid of their parents or teachers as they can't touch them or be sued, paedophiles are not afarid of being caught so they are becoming more prevelant. We need to go back to some tough politics with tough legislation, parents need to instill respect in their children, teachers need to be able to reprimend kids, cops need to kick some ass and get our society back on track. It has been slowly crumbling apart for the past few generations and needs to be tackled at the root of the problem.

    I find it interesting that after seeing inappropriate, crazy and unprovoked violence the response is more violence. Most people wanted to kill them or have them killed or tortured. While I agree and feel angry with what I saw, I think that this idea of violent retribution is part of the problem. We are feeding into that cycle and idea of violence as a means of expression. At the end of the day violence shows some deep underlying issues and these need to be tackled. Even killing all these scumbags would not be enough as more would come to replace them. The root of the problem, discipline, needs to be tackled. Bring back corporal punishment.

    What's even more sad than the footage shown is the hateful comments below. Don't you get that "paying back" and killing/stabbing/beating up these perpetrators is a dead end? And "ronancoy" wants the cops to instill more fear and that society should punish the "scumbags" even harder. Is it really so hard to see that the people happy slapping already is f..ked and beaten up by society?? It is those people who are doing the "paying back", society f..ked them up, now they are doing what they can to equal the score. This is in no way defending the people who are assaulting! I am merely stating the fact (that should be obvious to all!!!) that more violence, whether it is from individuals killing the people who assault or state sanctioned violence in the form of tougher parenting, reprimanding teachers or ass-kicking cops, is not a solution.

    Turn the hate you feel when you watch this footage into a creative force and begin to think about other solutions to the problems other than the most intuitive, primal reaction, striking back! It is high time to preemptive!

    I've been a victim of this myself, unfortunately. I was sitting at a bus stop and some guys pulled over in there car. One got out and asked me for the time, punched me in the face, ran off back to the car and sped off.

    Videos like this shouldn't be allowed on websites, by putting it on here, they're condoning, which is almost, if not worse than the morons who perform the act, because it will encourage them to do it more!

    I am not from U.K. but am feeling shocked to see this happening. I find the video itself very ugly and disgusting and feel sorry for those who have been a victim of this. Although this act is not considered as "life threatening" like cases such as murdering, etc. But I just can't understand why people would want to injure people randomly. Those people who live in UK must have felt stressed and insecure the whole time.

    As a UK citizen with a 12 year old son, this video makes sad viewing for a nation. A country that allows packs of children to move with impunity through our streets, doing as they please. I understand that sites must show what generates traffic, however I hope that this footage was forwarded onto the police, for their consideration. Happy slapping, what a stupid name, assault recorded using digital media would be a more appropiate title.
