Description: Video by Terrell Neuage for ournews.mobi This is the country¿s biggest Halloween celebration and the only major one taking place at night. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers take to the streets in amazing costumes to join about 50 bands, dancers and artists performing on the night. The crowd of spectators swells the numbers attending to over two million and the celebrations can be seen live on television. The event was created back in 1973 by a Greenwich Village mask maker and puppeteer and has become one of the Big Apple¿s best-loved traditions. Sixth Avenue (from Spring to 23rd Streets). The 34th Annual New York's Village Halloween Parade Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 7 p.m. Line-up for those who want to be IN the Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. In New York's Greenwich Village, on 6th Avenue South of Spring Street & above Canal right across from HERE Arts Center, the Halloween Parade's Theatrical Home in NYC !
