nice animation, but I don't think it will connect with most people.

Boring and too long. Nice start but it was anti-climactic. I thought it was going to be Prudential or Providian. Ads are all about brand image and recognition- the logo wasn't on long enough to make an impact. After watching last night I couldn't tell you who made the car or what car it was. Waste of money.

I totally got it. The message clearly was that most people think full sized SUVs are incapable of being hybrids. GMC saw it as a challenge, but rose to it and created one anyways.

The animation made by Marcell Jankovics from Hungary in 1977. It named "Küzd¿k" (means "Fighters"). Hungarians are very proud this commercial. :)
ps.: Sorry, I speak English just a little. :)

Battonya, this is not the "Kuzdok". :)
It's another Marcell Jankovics-animation called Sisyphus.

Crap commercial, Pretensious, phony and unappealing. GM as usual is more about smoke than substance...

I like honda, they made hybrids that weren't suvs, weren't ugly, and weren't tiny pieces of garbage. Ooh, a hybrid suv, it'll use as much gas as...well..a non suv!

Your feelings about GM aside (and there seem to be a lot of feelings about GM) the commercial is cool. Compare it to, say, salesgenie.com, or godaddy, or any other crap commercial on the superbowl ... dancing lizards, the weird french shampoo commercial... this one respects your intelligence, which come to think of it, may be why it doesn't resonate with the 'ribitmage's of the world (first post, complete with multiple typos and a peculiar way with the language that makes me think he/she didn't really master English.)
