I don't get why people react to this when they don't react to bungee jumpers. It's basically the same thing, and you can easily tell that these guys have done this hundreds of times. (look at the track marks in the dirt). Plus, that rig looked about as safe as it can get with amazingly large metal posts and a great safety harness. The rider never even gets close to hitting the ground or anything. It's probably a lot SAFER than bungee jumping.
