Description: Elizabeth Wainio was one of the people on United Flight 93 who phoned home to wish her parents farewell.

Featuring personal accounts of witnesses and first-time interviews with the families and friends of the heroes on board, as well as the findings of the 9/11 Commission Report and rarely heard voice recordings, The Flight That Fought Back is a tribute to the diverse group of men and women who sacrificed their own lives, saving the lives of hundreds more. This program chronicles how in just 30 short minutes, the passengers and crew discovered the terrorists' scheme, devised a plan to respond, and stopped the deadly plot.

The film will air Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 9 PM (ET/PT) on the Discovery Channel and will be shown in its entirety without commercial interruption. (less)
