What a breath of fresh air. I'm optimistic about the future of advertising because of this spot. It's about the moment in history. Not the lowest-common-denominator stuff that everybody else made. I'd like to thank Frito Lay for their great choice.

i've been watching the commercials, enjoying most. found this one moving.
i don't like it when people leave hateful remarks, but i just have to wonder, is little_kittycat_06 12 years old??????
i think little_kittycat_06 should have lived through the civil rights movement. many people were still being killed based only on their race. as far as our country's history goes, it was quite recent.

Again the game milestone thing? whatever. I already know coach smith and dungy are great team leaders who put themselves in this position. I know civil rights wasn't too long ago but anyone below 30 can see americas progress.

woohoo! Black people are good at sports. They should be proud. That's the history this commercial says they have. Forget all the real achievements Blacks have and focus on the stereotypes. What a racist commercial. We have won because we're entertainment. PBBBBBBBHHHHHT on Fritolay.

I found the static splashes on the audio quite distracting and irritating...that was the thing that remained in memory...what was that about?

i believe that *static* was about the widespread poverty that the minorities in this country still live in . . . they don't get to watch the super bowl on a 60" plasma with surround sound. but as the commercial was trying to say by the expressions on their faces, that doesn't really matter to them . . . they were feeling hopeful.
maybe they didn't get their point across as well as i thought they did. everything looks different through others eyes.

Hey, muirfield! I didn't watch the Super Bowl on a 60" plasma screen TV with surround sound, but I'm not a minority. Just because people can't afford expensive stuff doesn't make them a minority. Don't go stereotyping people like that, it may not be true... Just venting a little... Sorry if I offend anyone!

i wasn't trying to stereotype . . . i was just suggesting that might be the message the commercial is trying to get across, their message, not mine. i am a minority, and i did watch it on a 60" plasma, so i don't believe in stereotyping, either.
