Description: The extraordinary biological and cultural richness of the humid tropics is at risk due to social marginalization, irresponsible agriculture, and poor natural resource management. By educating its students in sustainable development, Costa Rica's E.A.R.T.H. University aims to ensure a prosperous future for the region. Student Juan Pinto, who has dedicated his life to conservation of the precious tropics, represents the generation of future leaders being created at the unique university.
