Hah, Looks like he just came out of the 70's. I remember the duds. Don't be too sure about the acid trip moniker. He is a genious.

I agree with you Hawaiian... our beloved Crispy Critter here is a genious, and he knows how to draw attention to himself. He has made his way being the weirdo. He is an artist, and all artists are a bit excentric(pardon any lack of spelling skills. I went to art school, not Harvard) :~)

"This marked the end of Crispin's career."
He had been in 7 movies leading up to this appearance. He's been in 27 movies since. I would hardly say it marked the end of his career. Stalled it, perhaps. I'm of the crowd who thinks it was an Andy Kaufman type stunt.

I remember this one well, it is both Hysterical and sad.....he was taken from the studio to a hospital. He had been losing it publicly and privately up to this....Now the press reported it as a nervous breakdown...whether that or just too much acid is anyones guess. But the old sayying stands true....the only bad press is no press....and he has continued to act.....though, with the caliber of the good movies he made, he'll live fairly large from the money he still makes on his movies.

Crispin Glover showed up in character as "Rubin" from a movie he was working on "Rubin and Ed." Same hair, costume, shoes, character. You can look up clips on YouTube. He was jacking our chains.
