What was Janet Reno doing in this ad? Is she in it because she's from Florida? Her presence seemed weird. Martha Stewart and Beckham were slightly funny.

I think I saw LL Cool J in there too. He was eating chips while Martha was looking for cilantro.

Nice commercial. Especially the Beckhamn angle. Do any of you Americans know who David Beckham is?

That's definitely LL Cool J with Martha. And Rascal Flatts as well with Ocho Sinco. Average ad though, I was hoping for more. Who's the big dude on the couch with Reno? He looks familiar.

Sorry for the double, I didn't see duke68x's comment at first. I for one know who Beckham is. Hopefully he helps MLS turn around.

Not good enough. They had parts for a funny commercial but no one chose to write anything funny for any interaction. Don't gather the talent for a huge let down. involve the people there in doing something, WHAT THE HELL?

kid from 2 & 1/2 men was asking Janet about the quesadillas. Edge James was welcoming someone to the party. Of course we know who Beckham is, that was a funny line. That is why he came to LA isn't it? To be on TV and in movies. The Martha Stewart part w/LL and Reggie was funny.

With all those different personalities in there, the NFL had a opportunity to really capitalize. This should have been a 4 part commercial that carried us through each quarter of the game. The potential for some funny interaction was there. I mean, Ryan Howard (2006 NL MVP/1st baseman Philadelphia Phillies)said the funniest line, when commenting on the cilanto mishap by Reggie Bush and he (Howard) was probably the least recognizable of everybody in there. Overall this was the worst group of SB commercials in recent memory, and this one blew the chance to be the best one. Time is definitely money when it comes to Superbowl Ads, but the NFL really let a good idea flop by not expanding on the concept.

Just like MLS, this ad overplayed its hand with Beckham. Despite the Hollywood/LA connection, only a minority of the Super Bowl audience is gonna recognize Beckham from a 5 second side view.
Martha Stewart bit was worth a yuk tho.

In addition to all of the ads that use celebs during the Super Bowl, so many companies use celebs before the actual game to garner publicity. This site has a pretty good listing of athletes and celebs who are down in Tampa on behalf of a brand... you'd be surprised!
