  The reason i 'dug' this was because it shows a young woman in the throws of a nervous breakdown who has been pushed and pulled from all directions throughout her career (not least by her dick of a husband). It also, to me, shows a media that seems to gloat on the pain and misery of someone because of their fame and forgets that this is a young woman that is obviously seriously ill & desperately needs help & not made the butt of someones humour I really don't know why anyone could find this situation even remotely funny! Sorry if I've put a downer on anyone but i feel so sorry for this poor woman..

  I think this shows how much she hurts. She hurts and feels that she can't fix it. The only thing she does have the power to do is to cut her hair. Also, this was very liberating....she was so tired of feeling so awful, but every time she would look in her mirror, she wasn't able to see herself in all her misery. Cutting her hair like this allows her and everyone else to see what she really looks like. She wanted to show everyone how much she hurts....the REAL her. I feel that she was very happy and content and that she feels the world can see how she feels in all her misery.

  I agree with PpRZman and others--who cares what Britney does with her hair and why is this news? If the woman doesn't want publicity--why not just shave her own head at home. It doesn;t take a lot of skill. My son has been shaving his own head for years. Hasn't seemed to need the help of a "stylist" to get the job done...what a joke!

  I honestly never could stand Britney Spears. I hated those stupid pigtails she sported in her first video. I hate the kind of mother she's showing herself to be and knowing that the world is watching her doesn't stop her from effing up on a near daily basis. On a lighter note, I actually like her bald head.   Yes, Anita, I agree. It's just so liberating to see this. I have shaved my buttocks in an attempt to empathize. I do want Britney to set a moral example for me though. I no longer wear underwear in public thanks to her. I find it makes me itch anyways due to all the sores I have from shaving.
