Back in the misty 19th century, when miracles could still happen, a blind man roams the Japanese countryside, making his living as a masseur and a gambler. Hidden beneath his peaceful facade, however, lurks a master swordsman--one of Japan's favorite film heroes. In this adventure, Zatoichi befriends two geishas who've come to the same, small mountain town he's happened upon to avenge the murders of their parents on the tip of the local samurai ronin's sharp sword.
