Batman films, Batman (1989,) Batman Returns (1992,) Batman Forever (1995,) and Batman & Robin (1997,) which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, started the film franchise 20 years ago on its road to becoming a global phenomenon and ultimately one of the top ten most successful film franchises in motion picture history.
