My favorite Batman movie Is bat man forever simply because my favorite actor, Jim Carrey, Is in it. In fact my favorite villain is the riddler because he was played by Jim Carrey.

Batman forever was as FAR away from the comics as you can get. Anyone who thought this is how a comic book movie should be does NOT read comics! The animated series did a better job but of COURSE it can never be recognized for that because "how could a animated series be more serious and down to earth then a live action movie?"

Good work on these Batman clips. James, instead of taking a still frame from a video clip, why not just show several seconds of the clip? It seems awkward to watch a still clip of a scene, then a moving scene, then another clip. It's good to have a clip you can pan around in, or zoom in or out of, but consider eschewing the still frame from video.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Templar#The_Saint_on_film_and_TV
Unusually for an action star of the time (as in heroes played by Seagal, Willis or Mel Gibson), this Saint refrained from killing and even the main villains live to stand trial. Charteris' version had no qualms about taking another life and

So the Saint represented the opposite case to the Batman, since in his print adventures the Saint has regularly used lethal force, but in the Kilmer movie, he did not.

first. i really liked your videos for they were telling true things, but i have something i don't agree with and that's batman not being a scary show.. i for one think it's quite right for batman to fight zombie canibalistic freaks like penguin or catwoman, cuz if not batman who'll fight creepy guys in movies, peter pan?.. even joker is one lunatic creep trying to kill everyone and "putting smilles on their faces" , and i think they tried to make Batman Returns more realistic. even though it was scary part, i think it was right. batman should be the hero fighting scary bad characters as those.

Being a long time Tim Burton fan, my favourite Batman film is Returns. It would have been the first one if it wasn't for that dated Prince soundtrack, which just seems completely out of place. Returns has better effects, a better score, the sexiest and most demented Catwoman ever and a truly disturbing (and disturbed) Penguin. In terms of style it owes more to silent movies than the original Burton one which had more of a 40s film noir setting. It has its silly moments but I love it all the same. I think it's underrated.

I loved Frank Miller's fruity Joker. :D He was all-the-time calling Batman petnames, annoying the snot out of him.
Hey, the Joker wanted his face on comemorative stamps, why not money?
Yeah, that was the one thing that annoyed me about this Batman movie; Joker wasn't the one who killed his folks. Shit, they're probably the same age. No wait, the flirting bit, didn't like that either. He doesn't even like Harley that much. His idea of romance is the smile on a dead man's face.
I always believed that the Joker knew Bruce Wayne was Batman & conciders Bruce the false mask, but if he never knew before, he did by the end of Batman RIP. He heard 2 people in a row call Batman "Bruce" & he didn't react to it at all. Tony Daniel's new Joker Design is so awesome! He's even using Dave Eaglebam's Scarecrow design.
Devito was an awesome Penguin, but they fucked-up on Catwoman's hair color. Oh well, at least they didn;t go the extra mile to make her look like an F-cup skank. Batman Returns was deffinately a favorite, even had Chritopher Walken. I love his voice.
Wordt Two-Face costume ever. Looks like chewed gum....Remember when they used to color his left side green? & who's dumb idea was it to make The Riddler pink haired? Robin was fugly. The whole movie was pretty forgettable.

From "epike"
"No, James, it's not "every possible combination." You didn't mention Bruce Wayne /vs. Jack Napier. You fail. ;-)"
Hmm, wasn't there VERY FIRST confrontation when Bruce Wayne was walking home with his parents the night they got shot? IT WAS JACK NAPIER WHO KILLED THEM! THERE VERY FIRST CONFRONTATION WAS BRUCE WAYNE AND JACK NAPIER. Infact, it was the most important confrontation out of them all because it was what CREATED BATMAN. So, "epike", YOU FAIL, because Bruce Wayne and Jack Napier DO meet up, and its the most significant of all the others when they do.

Batman Forever and Batman & Robin were definitely the modern day film version of the 60's Batman with Adam West.

I agree that Jack was the better Joker. Heath was just... well. Too serious. Was that comment about dressing up in Black Leather to get girls an homage to your AVGN persona review of the Batman games? Did The Nerd go out on town as The Bat? Great review.
