As much as I admire Mr. Obama, and I will be votng for him, I just can't see today's society looking past his race. I don't think America is going to vote for a black president just yet. As much as I want him for our next president, I don't think the democrats will win this year, it's a black candidate against a woman, and I have no problem with either, I prefer Obama though.

I don't mean to be pesimistic(is that right) but I truly don't think America is ready for a black president or a woman president, and thats is why I fear we are doomed to suffer another four years under the idiocracy that is known as the Republican Party.

There for, I emplore you all, vote for Obamam, vote for Hillary, hell, vote for Edwards, just get out there and vote. One voice doesn't change a thing, but one hundred million voices, changes alot. Let Washington know we are sick of the superficial beliefs that pleague our economy and our great country. America needs a new vision, a new begining, and that new era starts with you, it's not up to Washington to decide who wins, its up to you, make your voice heard. Please, please, don't sit idley by and let this opprotunity to make yourself heard, make your opinion count, cause if you don't vote, and the elections don't turn out the way you wanted, you have only one person to blame, yourself.

2008 is a year of change for America, we've been blinded by the politics that have stained America long enough, it's time we take back the country we love. This is land is your land, this land is my land, this land's not just their land, so show your colors, rise up against the machine and help tear it down, it starts with you.

    Well, I'm tuckered out now.

I loved President Palmer on the show 24... this could be the next best thing. Lol. I like his politics, and from the first time I heard him speak I always thought he might be a good candidate. Should he decide to run, he will surly have my vote.

Lets try and agree which issues are most pertinent to the future of this country. I think the most pertinent are the ones which may bring about World War III:

    1.Iraq War
    2.Middle East
    3.Taliban
    4.Oil Dependancy
    5.Nuclear War threats

I think since Obama even brings up Oil Dependancy is huge. I'm behind him all the way for that alone. If we start there, maybe things in the middle east would involve the U.S. less, and stabilizing international security wouldn't seem so impossible. That is what is really at stake in the '08 election. It seems Obama realizes this is what is at stake, and wants the support of all americans. If this country can't realize that, and continues to get caught up in issues like abortion and civil liberties and the other political divisions, we'll end up with another bafoon leading us further down the tube toward annihilation.

Mr Obama, i am also cheering you on, we've seen the same results with Mr Schwarzenegger here in California. He also said enough with business as usual and was successful in rebalancing the states budget without taxing us cross-eyed. I am not a republican but an american who is tired of "business-as-usual".

I have always been pro Hillary... and the more I listen to Barack Obama the more I admire him... I would love to see him elected... I am not sure however if middle and southern America is ready to elect a black man as president.... He would be my FIRST choice... He is brillant...

But my first concern... is who is the MOST Electable... Because the Democrats must take 2008... if we want this country to continue to grow as a people... and stop this government of rich men... getting richer at other people's expense... the middle class is dying out... and there will only be Rich and Poor...

I could go on.. but I won't... I LIKE THIS MAN VERY MUCH... I hope he does run... and that folks listen to the man's words, examine his chartacter... and not the shade of his skin...

He is a good man... I wish him well... I will do all I can... to help him in his efforts...

I am independent and NOT a Bush fan. I do have 2 issues with Mr. Obama. He has stated opinions in the past indicating he will expand hand-outs and entitlements. This will result in greater debt and/or taxes. He is also o.k. with killing unborn children. If he addresses these two issues I will gladly jump on his bandwagon. I can tell he does have our country's best interests at heart. So I'm willing to listen...

It's time for change. What do we have to lose? What do we have to show for the last six years from the current administration? So much debt we can't see straight. A war started based on a lie told by our high ranking officials that can never be won, never. Remember, history tells us that the British made the same attempt and lost. What do we have to show for the last six years from the current administration? History repeating itself. I am not one to watch reruns unless I find them entertaining.

This rerun that I am living is sad, depressing it does not have a happy ending. It's time for change.

    8. Brenditaweb, man do you know how much of an idiot you sound like. USA isnt broke, when the government needs money, they just print it up. And those weather disasters you speak of is called, Global Warming. Its not just from the pollution of bombs, but the electricity we over use, and the cars we drive, its like a big microwave melting that iceburg. OPen your eyes... learn what the hell you are talking about.

It so nice to hear someone speak like a person and not only as politician. I for one agree that the time for change has passed and we all as American need to put aside our self interests and restore the dignity to this wonderful country of ours. Who says that one person cannot make a difference. Obama has made a believer of me, I believe there are people who care and do want to make a difference. I am old enough to remember the Kennedy inaugural speech and how proud i felt when the words where spoken "ask not what your country can do for you but rather ask what you can do for your country." Today I am enlisting in the Obama army. Together we can restore the dignity that is America! Peace and prosperity!
