you want questions?
In the IRA/Taliban simulation, a Taliban used a RPG and accidentally killed one of his Taliban allies. Is this a major factor in squad fights and can 1 on 1 fights have a weapon accidentally kill its user, like if the Pirate's Grenado was tossed back towards him.
Do guns and bows run out of ammo in the simulations?
Does immobilizing or paralyzing the opponent completely count as a kill? Otherwise, American police officers will not be good fighters as they avoid killing their enemies.
Will the warriors already used be seen in future episodes against other opponents?
Most of the warriors have long ranged weapons... how far away are most of the warriors at the beginning at the fights or do different fights have different starting positions?

I am excited for the next season as well. I really hope they do some kind of a system where we get to see the winners of season one face off as well as some new warriors do battle.

Matchup idea-
Hashashin vs Aztec
Hashasins had many different short blades, swords, bows, and a rare weapons much like the twin hooks which i have heard of which was a double sided blade. again i have only heard of it but that would be crazy. stealthiest warriior in history, more then a ninja (look up some info on the hashashins and read about the dagger in the cake). aztecs are much more popular and we all basically know about them

I loved this season it was anything could happen in every match my favorite was samurai vs viking well out of the warriors history lesson on warfare I like the best was the spartan there combination's of warrior there like zulu's because they can ignore pain there also like the highlanders because they defended there country from Foreign enemy there are also like ninja because there last task was to kill a slave with sleath abilities there also like viking because they had to fight like a unit and more but if there a next season can you put match with simuliar warriors like spartan vs gladiator samurai vs knight Apache vs ninja maori warrior vs berserker huns vs mongols achilles vs romans and goth warrior vs viking

A question to the producers of the show: I had heard that were alternate versions filmed of each fight, in which the other warrior won. For example, you filmed one with the Samurai killing the Viking, and one with the Viking killing the Samurai, and all this filming was done early on. And then, after all the testing and simulations, you review the results and air the appropriate footage. Is this true? I had read this from a reliable source (believe it or not), and I'm curious if these alternate fights will be aired or put on DVD extras, or if they even exist at all.

This show was tolerable until Max Geiger started in with his land mine crusade. He says he was scared of landmines and IEDs because of the destruction they can do. He must not have been watching the show very much since a grenade, molotov, shotgun, etc do as much damage under the right circumstances. I hate when shows start trying to sneak a political agenda. Maybe next season there will be real scientists on the show. I think Max is low point of this show; I guess programming video games makes him an expert on combat.

As a guy who still feels the Knight was cheated, I was very VERY happy to hear the actual historian and weapons expert say that the crap that happened with the Pirate was questionable. I think that may have been the closest the aftermath has ever come to admitting the show may have been wrong. that said...
I have two questions for you guys. when making arguments for or against weapons, except for outright challenges to the test itself, do you actually take into account ANY thing the experts say when arguing for hem selves? Also, two related questions, please say a second season is coming, and I also want to know, would there be any senario where fan requests or fan requested retries were done?

The spartan warriors are so impressive. They were by far the oldest warriors in the show and still proved to be one of the best if not the best pre gun warrior. To think that a group of warriors from 500bc are able to compete with warriors that were 1000 years or more advanced. That just shows how great the Spartans really were when it came to fighting. Now granted, when it comes to architecture, arts, or any other median other then fighting they pretty much non existant. When it came to fighting though, they were phenominal.

I totally cheated the Spartans, it wasnt just 1000 years, it was 2000 years. The Spartans were the oldest warriors in the show and had to fight warriors that were up to 2000 years more advanced and won. That is just awesome. Its hard to describe in words how impressive that is. That would be like our millitary from world war one fighting a millitary from the year 3900.

I loved Season 1! Great review, I think the Spartan was my favorite. Ideas for Season 2:
Aztec Jaguar Warrior vs Bronze Age Egyptian footsoldier
Conquistador vs Cossack
Iroquois (7 Years War) vs Mughal Sikh
Persian Immortal vs Celtic Woad Raider
Mongol vs Cheyenne Dog Soldier
Viet Cong vs Palestinian
Roman Legion vs Qin Emperial Soldier
Navy Seals vs SAS

The problem with 20th-21st century battles is that the world is not as big as it used to be. International trade and wars are common and thus you're more likely to find similar guns. Maybe Viet Cong vs Israeli Defense Force would be a better matchup for season 2 because the Palestinians also us AKs. Most warriors around the world now use AKs or some kind of M16.
As much as I love rapid firing guns and huge explosions I'd like to see more ancient matchups and more renaissance/colonial matchups.

What a Great season! Can't wait for season 2. The only one I had a problem with is ninja vs. spartan. Ninjas were not open ground fighters, there strength was stealth. They would hide for weeks or months to study there targets and strike at the moment of weakness, then run and hide till they could get away. Over all this show rocks. Hope to see the Huns in the mix in the future.

I freaking love this show. The matchups are awesome, the tests are amazing, the background history is interesting, and the choreographed fights are epic. And I especially love the Aftermath; it shows that they care about the fans and are willing to listen to their opinions.
I have one question for the producers: Where do you find the experts for each episode?

I have a question for the next aftermath
In the Viking vs Samurai fight, since the Samurai's Kanab¿ was a weapon the was almost never actually used by the Samurai and it would never be used with any other weapons. If this weapon was removed from the equation do you think the Samurai would have still Won?

Really well done show. from the looks of things it has a decent fan base, so hopefully we will get another season. I'd really like to see some lesser known warriors out there. Maori warriors for instance, I had never heard of, but I absolutely love their weapons, made that episode really cool to be learning completely new stuff like that. Now that they've been through alot of the more mainstream warriors, hopefully there'll be some more like that, Also now that the show has a fan base, they can afford to not put on two people that everyone's heard of and will get excited about. The other really great aspect of the show, which I would love to see a little more emphasis on, is when they describe the warriors culture, beliefs (with regards to war) and large scale battle tactics. It doesn't affect the outcome at all, but that sort of thing is always really interesting.

I think of what gangs could be in thugs vs. thugs. Here's what I got so far:
--Old American West outlaw gangs (e.g., James gang, Dalton gang, the Clantons (OK Corral fame)
--1980's LA street gangs (Bloods or Crips)
--Chinese Tong
--biker gang (e.g., Hell's Angels, Mongols)
Besides Russian Mafia and Mexican drug gang (which I don't think should be used for DW), have I left any other historical gangs out?

Question though for the next Aftermath: In season 2 are you going to do a viewer's choice? How about letting the fans pick 2 warriors and have them duke it out.
Or a suggestion: Just to end the debate, knight vs. samurai.

What I would like to see as part of an Aftermath special is how the stuntmen who performed the actual fight recreations were trained for their parts and how the fights were choreographed, and by whom. It would also be nice to hear from some of these actors/stuntmen and get their opinions on their particular re-enactment, their body armor (or lack thereof) and the weapons they used.

What I'm wondering about is whether you guys could make it possible to watch your videos if you aren't living in the U.S.A. ? I'm a great fan of the show yet not being able to see your videos here makes it harder to watch all of it and the Aftermath videos.
