Same, nothing about season 2 but I'm not worried at all. The show is garnering viewers in the millions, from a TV channel standpoint, it's a money making machine and 100% chance of another season.

The Aftermath episode for Viking vs Samurai should be interesting, going to please a whole lotta people around here...

A fantastic matchup for season 2 would be a faceoff between Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens. Scientists spend alot of time wondering if we bred the neanderthal out of existance, or killed them off. This would be a great way of settling it. As someone who loves pre-history, I'd love to see if the refined weapons of the sapiens would dominate the raw power of the neanderthal people.

New Episodes of the Aftermath... YAY!!!
However, i am more concerned about the show itself. I noticed that there were tests that were not aired on the show such as the "Knight's Chain Mail" test, "Knight's Shield" test, "Zero Kazama's Kick" test from the Mafia vs. Yakuza episode, and probably others that I failed to mention. Will they be on Spike.com or will they be one a "Deadliest Warrior" Season 1 DVD set.
I look forward to seeing a Season 2. So please, everyone out there, Start recommending new warriors through the comments. We might spark a new idea, maybe a special episode to see who is the "Deadliest of the Deadliest Warriors," tournament style.

    1. This wasn't answered in the aftermath so maybe i can get an answer here. The Flamethrower. In the episode yourself it said you couldn't get your hands on the flamethrower that the IRA used. So, how did you factor in the test for it? Not all weapons are the same, some Flamethrowers have longer Range, others more fuel, and i may be wrong but some may have better armored fuel tanks. If you couldn't actually get your hands on the weapons, how did you factor it in, and what was the 'comparable weapon' you did test?

    2. About doing aftermaths for the first two episodes: FINALLY, Episode 1 had issues, and Episode 2 was horrible, but thankfully 3 and beyond got better and better as the show evolved into something great. I do really hope you answer all the big questions about Apache vs Gladiator and especially Samurai vs Viking.

    3. Slingshot. Still. Really? why not a Machete (not sure if they used them but i believe their common enough) or Switchblade or something?

They'll probably answer the question of whether or not there will be a season two in the aftermath of the viking versus the samurai. And also, I think I will give landmines.org a visit; tax deduct-ability is always good in these times, and I'd rather put the money to good use.

I was actually pretty disappointed by this particular Aftermath. It didn't seem like they explained that much when compared to previous episodes. They didn't even cover the slingshot which was, in my opinion, a stupid weapon to pit against a bayonet. Anyone else agree?

The mud test was unfair everyone who knows anything about small arms knows that the M-16 (AR-15) is known to jam when junked up, and AK-47's are one of the most reliable small arm weapons around. So that test was a givin. M-16's are getting better at that problem.

I actually had pretty good questions for this episode but my comment wasn't on...was it because I asked too many in one comment? They were really good; for example, one question was: "What kind of data is put into Slitherin? Things like PSI force of an explosive, the velocity of a projectile, and other things I would imagine would be put in, but what other data would be put in? Also how does the program register a kill?"

But now I'll be known for the stupid claymore question forever. :(((

It may be too late for this question to be answered or w/e, but

I believe that the nailbomb was unfairly tested, as it was placed upon a moped which had gas in it, causing it to explode creating flames and such, So i beleve this may have influenced the edge in this case, as well as mines are placed in roads where automobiles drive over them, which could cause a deal of damage to everyone in the vehicle, along with the vehicle itself.

Yo I could explain the IRA's motivation and history so much better than Skoty Collins. He made it seem so simplistic. The IRA has absolutely nothing to do with religion at all. The IRA had many protestant members and the founder of Irish Republicanism Theobald Wolfe Tone was a Protestant. I really wish Skoty Collins said this stuff because it was all relevant to the question. I also wish they took account how the Taliban is using the IRA's bombing technology now as well. I would have loved to see Spike use some of the heavy weapnry the IRA had, like DSHK machine guns or Barrett 50 cal snipers.

What I want to see in the next season is three-way fights. Three different kinds of warriors all going head to head to head in an all out melee. That would be interesting and far more challenging to guess a winner.

As for more ideas for season 2 (there had better be one) I would like to see the Roman Legion, the Aztecs,British/French army(black power era), the Mongol's (specifically the cavalry), or German SS troops just to name a few. If anyone else has ideas post them and lets see where we get. I would also like to see a longer aftermath if possible(more questions need to be reviewed). Also we should have a viewer choice on who battles who of the winners, no more tests, just use the old data and run the simulation. Great job guys, looking forward to season two!!!

All right. Awesome show. There is one problem. On the computer simulations, you test 1000 battles, which is a good idea. The thing you don't do is measure accuracy, power, force, perception, ect. This kind of stuff changes with every warrior. You only measure one or two people's power and stuff. And guns may misfire. That means in any fight with a gun, the results may change in real life. You shouldn't use guns. This goes for all the shows you do.Besides Apachi,Gladiator,Samuri,Viking,Ninja,Spartan,Pirate,Knight,Mafia,Yakuza,Green Beret,Shaolin Monk,Maori,Taliban, and IRA, you should do Eskimos, Navy, Crazy Horse, Hung-Wu, Natzis, and Moctezuma.

It was no doubt the IRA was going to win..... They have a lot better weapons and a lot more training...... Just look a lot at a time cause th the Taliban in real life they barely aim just like the guy said "they spray" so why did the guy sit there and took one shot at a time cause that's not what they really do. If they actually tested the way the Talibans did it wouldnt even be close. i hope there is going to be a next season....

Thanks for the Aftermath! Glad to hear you're doing it for the first 2 episodes.

I have said this elsewhere, but I'll repeat it here in case the big wigs are reading. I think they should mix it up. They have the data already, now lets pit different warriors against each other, you know, in like a two hour battle royal. I would like to see Knight vs. samurai or Spartan vs. Samurai (or both. that would be cool), Shaolin Monk vs. ninja, Maori vs. Apache, and Pirate vs ninja (Pirate all the way!!!)

If they d go through with a second season (which i am hoping very much for), i would like to see Aztec, Mayans, Hawaiian, Inca, Sikh, Gurka, Filipino tribesmen (they had some of THE coolest blades), and Persian Immortals. Honestly guys, keep up the good work.

It has to be said that I believe Max Geiger gets to decide every week which warrior wins. The show is quite biased to his point of view because he is the one who decides on what data to put into a computer which is coincidentally run by him.

The idea that the IRA would beat the Taliban is completely laughable. The idea that Max actually chose the Flamethrower over a Rocket Launcher is even moreso laughable. In a real battle, the Rocket Launcher would completely decimate the IRA.

It is clear to me that whichever side Max favors is the team that always seems to win. Whichever weapon he thinks is better, is the one he gives an advantage in the computer. The show is simply not fair and for further seasons, there should be several different impartial individuals who monitor what data goes into the computer instead of just letting Max do it and "trusting" him.

Excellent season and I'm looking forward to the remaining three episodes of Aftermath. I have enjoyed every episode and, though I like the analysis of pre-gunpowder fighters best, I have been surprised by how interesting the shows with more modern warriors have been.

I notice that there is a height and weight listing for the warriors. How is this determined? I suspect our imformation on stature and weight for some historical periods is very sketchy. Also, how is this used in the simulation?

I'm looking forward to next season and (like most fans) have some matches I'd especially enjoy. I think Chaka Zulu vs. King Philip (aka Metacom), William Wallace vs. Chaka Zulu, samurai (gunpowder age) vs. musketeer, Aztec vs. Egyptian, Mongol vs. Comanche, Cossack vs. gunfighter, and (of course) ninja vs. Shaolin Monk.

Of all of these I'm most curious about the Aztecs. I've read that the atl-atl was ably to hurl an obsidian-tipped spear with such force that it would pierce the steel breastplate of a Spanish soldier. This is something I'd live to see tested.

Though it would be more speculative than most matches, I'd also like to see Neanderthal vs. Cro-Magnon. I've read that skelectal studies suggest that Neanderthals were much stronger than modern humans, but I've never seen anyone try to quantify this. Would a modern power-lifter be able to generate the same force? Would you need a machine to simulate Neanderthan strength? Anyway, the power of the Neanderthan vs. the superior weapons technology of the Cro-Magnon would be very interesting. 2)
he level of quality of the showsthe episodes a couple of questions to pa

I just notice in the shaolin vs maori episode there's a short clip where the maori killed the shaolin monk with the shark tooth club.

I think it would be cool if they showed the battle video of if the losers of the episode had won.
