Oklahoma Pig Farm Investigation with Rue McClanahan

Posted on: April 16, 2002 | Views: 135 | Comment

Rue McClanahan, Golden Girls star and Oklahoma native, narrates this undercover expose of animal cruelty at Seaboard Farms, Inc. On August 31, the district attorney for Texas County in Oklahoma filed four counts of felony animal cruelty against Alejo Peqa, a former Seaboard Farms, Inc., manager, after a PETA investigation revealed shocking cruelty to pigs at a Seaboard farm in Guymon. The charges against Peqa are, in fact, the strongest in U.S. history against a factory-farm employee for animal cruelty.

This case represents a growing awareness of the suffering of animals on factory farms and serves as a clear reminder of the need to help directly alleviate such suffering by adopting a vegetarian diet.
