William Goldman's short story comes to life...
Willy, the twelve year old son of his hometown's only barber, learns a life's lesson by a seemingly cantankerous old man hired to work in the family barber shop. Bimbaum, as he's called, has raised haircutting to an art form. But such a threat he becomes to the mediocrity that Willy's father represents, Bimbaum is given an ultimatim; be a hack, or take his hour and a half long haircuts on the road. In a climactic haircut scene where Willy begs for a crew cut, Bimbaum stays strong to his convictions and pays the price for it.
