North Country - Where's Our Respect?

Posted on: October 5, 2005 | Views: 129 | Comment

A group of friends talks about the lack of respect women face in the workplace.

The story of Josey Aimes, a single mother with two children to support, who goes to work in the iron mines. According to the male miners, women have no business driving trucks and hauling rocks and are not shy about letting her know their feelings. When Josey speaks out against the treatment she and her fellow female co-workers face, she is asked to resign. But in the name of justice, she digs in her heels, and spearheads the nation's first-ever class action lawsuit for sexual harassment.
