After returning from the battlefields of World War I, a young Hitler (Noah Taylor) tries to start a career as a painter. His mentor (John Cusack), another WWI vet who happens to be a wealthy Jew and art-gallery owner, encourages Hitler's efforts until his anti-Semitic motivations become apparent.
