After he's released from prison, Akuji first stops to visit an old friend, Minka. He learns something might be wrong back home.

The world changed quite a bit while Yamamot Akuji dwelled in prison. A great war was fought; the world he knew turned upside down. Now, women dominate the world, while men are reduced to dog-like status. Akuji's not too fond of this new world, and he's out to teach the stuck-up women of Osaka a lesson.
