Seasons combines antique Russian lace with Viatsk toys and Tchaikovsky's music and it uses stop motion and multi-planes to portray people moving through a landscape during different seasons.
Yuri Norstein, who was to become the foremost name among Russia's new generation of animation directors, worked on this film as an assistant to director Ivan Ivanov-Vano.

This film is 9 min. long and can be watched in its entirety on the Masters Of Russian Animation DVD set - an extraordinary collection of Russia's most important animated short films by Russia's world renowned directors.
