Simpsons - The Complete Fifth Season - Barbershop Quartet

Posted on: December 23, 2004 | Views: 51 | Comment

Turns out that Barbershop Quartet music is not quite the huge pop phenomenon that Homer, Apu, and the guys figured it would be.

TV's favorite cartoon family really hits its stride this season. Bart gets a pet elephant, becomes a pop culture phenomenon with the catch phrase "I didn't do it" and is almost killed by his nemesis Sideshow Bob. Homer almost cheats on his wife with a coworker, sings in a barbershop quartet and flies on the space shuttle. Marge gets addicted to gambling and goes on a Thelma and Louise-like road trip. Lisa invents a feminist Barbie doll while Maggie battles Mr. Burns over his beloved teddy bear.

Guest voices this season include Albert Brooks, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathleen Turner, James Woods, Buzz Aldren, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Goulet and the Ramones.

The DVD contains all 22 episodes from Season Five, plus commentary by Matt Groening, James L. Brooks, and Conan O'Brien; deleted scenes; a featurette; original sketches and more.
