A stunt-flying competition that's a cross between a ski slalom, the fastest motor sport in the world, and plane aerobatics.

The Red Bull Air Race was conceived in 2001 by the Red Bull think-tank and two-times World Aerobatics Champion Peter Besenyei of Hungary. The race debuted in 2003 at AirPower in Zeltweg, Austria. Peter is seen here winning the race in Ireland in 2004.
