A woman sits in a public toilet, jilted via postcard for the last time. Her reverie of a lost friend in past times is broken by the appearance of girlie phantoms. This bathroom is not so private: a pair of nurses from another era and two rag-tag ballerinas bust into her stall and leave her and the restroom reverberating with echoes of intimacy.
