Trotwood-Madison playing the âunderdog roleâ which is not their usual status considering they are last yearâs State runner-up, and 10-0 this season, faced the number one team in the country Oak Hill Academy (VA) in the Flyinâ to the Hoop at Vandalia Butler High School last night. The sell-out crowd (4,000) witnessed not only one of the top teams in the nation but one of the top teams mid-west in Trotwood-Madison. Trotwood was able to keep the game close by applying a very physical defense and holding the all-stars on Oak Hillâs team in check and not giving them space to work. Chris Wright led the Rams with 21 points and several monster dunks to inspire a very vocal crowd. Trotwood turned the ball over at several key junctions in the game and this is what cost them the upset. After this performance Trotwood should be considered the top team in Ohio, even after the loss. Trotwood is now 10-1 and will face another power-house in Dayton Dunbar at UD arena January 27th.
