Mary (Jena Malone) escapes Hilary Faye's (Mandy Moore) ridiculous intervention.

When the most popular girl at American Christian High School (Mandy Moore) discovers that the second most popular girl in school (Jena Malone) is pregnant, she gathers the masses against her, sending the unfortunate teen to the island of misfit students.
